PRMSU College of Teacher Education Hiraya Laya Ammungan Extension Program launches Project AJA (Amungan Journalists in Action) at Amungan National High School, Amungan, Iba, Zambales
Faculty extensionists from the English and Filipino Departments of the College of Teacher Education shared their expertise in campus journalism (news writing, feature writing, sports writing, photojournalism, editorial writing, editorial cartooning, sci-tech news, broadcasting) to selected Grades 7-12 learners of ANHS. The day began with a short launching program at ANHS Covered Court followed by a breakout session per category. PRMSU Faculty facilitated the lecture sessions. A competitive examination followed to gauge the level of skills of the learners. The activity ended through a closing program where the best performing learners were recognized. Follow up training activities will be conducted to further sustain and develop the journalistic skills of ANHS students.
Many thanks to the strong support of PRMSU administration led by President Dr. Roy Villalobos, University Research and Development officials, CTE faculty, students and ANHS administration headed by Principal Allan E. Carbonell, ANHS faculty, and learners!
