Last March 16, 2023, the extension services unit conducted Training on Pesticide Handling and Safety Practices spearheaded by Ms. Karen D. Parreno (Project Leader) and Dr. Rosielyn A. Ebal (University Extension Director) for the employees of Iba Botanical Inc.
The main goal of the project is to conduct capability enhancement and training in agricultural productivity safety protocol activities for the employees of Iba Botanical Inc. There were 6 topics presented at the training and experts in different disciplines were tapped to discuss the topic.

Topic 3 Hazards and Toxicity of Pesticides – speaker Ms. Karen D. Parreño
Topic 4 Handling, Transport & Disposal of Pesticides – speaker Mr. Angelo C. Fermil
Topic 5 First Aide Procedure for Pesticide Poisoning – speaker Ms. Jenele Princess V. Mallari
Topic 6 Good Agricultural Practices in Relation to Pesticide Management – speaker Mr. Angelo C. Fermil
Some of the university officials and faculty extensionists in Botolan Campus attended the activity to show support to the said extension training.
