Congratulations to the BSME Department of PRMSU , College of Engineering Iba Zambales, for a successful awarding and demonstration of the Fish Crushing Machine to Laoag Kaunlaran Association -Cooperative headed by their President, Mrs. Aurora Manlicmot of Brgy Laoag , Cabangan through the Regional Innovation Inclusive Cooperation Program between DTI, DOST, PRMSU and MSMED Council yesterday 10.14.22 . This is a realization of the objectives of TEAM-UP EXTENSION PROGRAM in parallel with the THRIVE AGENDA of the college with goal, “A single step from COE, a hundred mouths fed in the community through upscaling and upgrading livelihood activities of small and medium enterprises in the Province of Zambales.
This innovation in bagoong making brought so much gladness among the locals and the small business enterprise in the baranggay. The technology awarded was design for bulk, time efficient, sanitary and cost effective production of bagoong. The invented machine will hasten the crushing of fish and eventualky reduce the fermention period in effect.
