
The Training and Development of Extensionists of College of Teacher Education was conducted last March 9, 2022 via Zoom Teleconferencing. The webinar aimed to encourage faculty of CTE to conduct extension; train and sustain development of faculty in conducting extension; and develop plan for extension activities of the different programs for the 2022 and beyond.
The webinar was facilitated by Ms. Pauline F. Echaure. It started with an invocation by which was followed by the Philippine National Anthem through an audio-visual presentation. The opening remarks was delivered by Dr. Zenvi Ann M. Macalinao, Dean of the College of Teacher Education. It was followed by the sharing on the Overview of the Extension Program, Implemented Extension Program from 2021, and the Targets for CTE Extension Program for 2022 by Mr. Joven Ian M. Marquez, CTE Extension Services Coordinator. The webinar’s resource speaker was introduced by Mr. Rey E. Dalusong, BEED Program Chair and Head of Student Publication. The resource speaker was Mr. Mark Gil C. Dela Rosa, Assistant Director for University Extension Services. The topics of his lecture were the following:
1. Priorities and Relevance for Extension and Community Involvement
2. Planning, Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation
3. Funding and Other Resources
4. Community Involvement and Participation in the Institution’s Activities
After the first two topics, an open forum was held followed by lunch. The talk of Mr. Dela Rosa continued in the afternoon session followed by a one-hour workshop on the Extension Programs, Projects, and Activities to be implemented per program. At 3:01 pm, presentation of output began. Mr, Rey E. Dalusong presented the plans for BEED Program, Mr. Joven Ian M. Marquez for BSE Social Studies, Mrs. Teresa V. Apagalang for BSE Science, Mr. Vincent Pobre for BSE English, Mr. Rex M. Misa for GAD-BSE Filipino, Mr. Leroy Flores for BSE Mathematics, and for Mr. Jarold V. Apagalang for BPED Programs. Mr. Dela Rosa and CTE Faculty Members provided suggestions and inputs for the improvement of the proposed extension plans per program. After the presentation and critiquing of outputs, a Certificate of Recognition was awarded to the resource speaker. The webinar ended with a message from CTE Dean Dr. Zenvi Ann M. Macalinao.
